The Kazanka Venue is located on the left bank of the Kazanka River, in the historic area of the city at the foot of the white-stone Kazan Kremlin and the Farmers’ Palace. It is a temporary venue erected especially for high diving and open water swimming events of the 16th FINA World Championships.

Two towers were constructed on the bank of the Kazanka River for high diving events: competition tower with a 27-metre high platform for men and a 20-metre high platform for women (5-, 7.5-, 10-metre platforms are used for training sessions) and a 20-metre TV tower located opposite the competition tower.

The open water swimming course stretches from one river bank to another and back. Its length is 2,500 metres.

All necessary infrastructure for holding competitions is located in overlays around the venue.
