The Water Polo Arena is located on the bank of the Kazanka River between the existing sports venues – the Kazan Arena Stadium and the Aquatics Palace. It is a temporary facility installed on the premises of the Aquatics Palace for the purpose of hosting the water polo tournament which is part of the 2015 FINA World Championships programme. The venue includes a competition arena – a temporary pool (MYRTHA POOLS) surrounded by temporary seating. A VIP zone, press centre and doping control area are located in overlays.
Functional zones (athletes' preparation area, sport competition management and FINA offices) and a warm-up pool are situated on the premises of the Aquatics Palace.
