Transportation

Transport services will be delivered between July 17 and August 11, 2015 for the entire duration of the FINA Family and their guests’ stay in Kazan, from the moment of arrival to departure. Transportation will be carried out by passenger cars, minivans and minibuses in accordance with the FINA requirements. The transport network will have the following markings:

• T1 – A passenger car (minivan, minibus) and a driver assigned to an individual or a group for the entire duration of the Championships.
• T2 – A passenger car (minivan, minibus) and a driver provided for travel between Championships venues upon pre-order.
• T3 – Bus service between the official FINA Family hotels and sports venues.

T1 transport ordering.

Upon arrival in Kazan, an individual or a group will be provided with T1 transport according to a place of stay and without pre-order upon availability of an appropriate code on an accreditation badge. To get access to the transportation service, the FINA Family and their guests need to contact a transport manager assigned to an official hotel.

T2 transportation services will be provided upon pre-order and carry the FINA Family and their guests between competition venues, official hotels and venues where formal events will be held.

T2 transport ordering.

A vehicle can be ordered and booked in advance through info desks located at Official FINA Family hotels and sports venues. To get access to the transportation service, the FINA Family and their guests need to contact a transport manager in charge and provide information on the time of departure and point of destination. The manager will then inform about the expected waiting time and a vehicle’s location and will escort to the boarding area if needed. If more than 20 minutes pass after the expected time of departure and nobody shows up, a vehicle leaves the boarding area. A new order will need to be placed if a vehicle is needed again. If there are no vehicles available, a transport manager will inform about the nearest possible time of ordering.

During arrivals and departures, transfers from the Kazan International Airport and railway stations Kazan-1 and Kazan-2 to official hotels and back will be provided by passenger cars, minibuses and tourist coaches. Truck transport will be available to carry oversized and non-standard sized luggage between arrival/departure points and hotels.

Buses will be assigned to deliver the FINA Family and their guests to/from the Championships Opening/Closing Ceremonies. Boarding a bus travelling to the Ceremonies venue and back will be allowed only at designated areas. Those invited to the Ceremonies will be provided with details of transport arrangement for the Opening/Closing Ceremonies, time of departure and boarding/unboarding areas.
