The global experience shows that provision of high-quality transport services for athletes and officials is seen as a top priority by organisers of all major international competitions. Success of any sporting event depends on the efficiency of the transport system.

One of the major stages in the preparation of the transport provision for the 16th FINA World Championships 2015 in Kazan is recruitment and training of qualified driving staff.

The Executive Directorate for Sports Projects intends to employ over 400 drivers to work as temporary personnel during the event.

THE FOLLOWING TEMPORARY POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE for Kazan residents for the duration of
the 2015 FINA World Championships:
Passenger car driver
Eligibility requirements and job responsibilities
Job responsibilities:
Passenger car drivers provide a reliable and efficient transport services to athletes and officials during the 2015 FINA World Championships. The drivers are responsible for:
  • driving a vehicle and providing a safe and comfortable transport service to the client groups;
  • picking up passengers in a timely fashion at a specific location and at a given time;
  • keeping an assigned vehicle roadworthy and technically sound;
  • submitting daily trip reports.
To be eligible, the drivers must:
  • have a driving license of B category;
  • have more than three years of driving experience;
  • be aged 23-45 years old;
  • have Russian citizenship;
  • have a residence permit in the Russian Federation;
  • reside in the city of Kazan or its suburban area;
  • have no criminal record;
  • have a good driving record free of at-fault grave accidents;
  • have no withdrawal of driving license over the previous three years;
  • have an excellent knowledge of Kazan;
  • have English speaking skills (not lower than Intermediate);
  • have a medical certificate of fitness to drive a motor vehicle;
  • have knowledge of basic etiquette rules;
  • be punctual.
Job conditions:
  • July 6-16, 2015 – probation period, behind-the-wheel acquaintance with venues and routes;
  • until July 6, 2015 – training course as per the approved curriculum in accordance with an agreed timetable, final tests;
  • July 17 - August 18, 2015 – period of employment in accordance with an agreed timetable;
  • a driver signs an employment contract for the duration of the FINA World Championships;
  • a driver is provided with a vehicle;
  • the Organising Committee covers all operational costs incurred while operating a vehicle;
  • the Organising Committee provides a uniform.
