The Russian Masters Swimming Championships took place at the Aquatics Palace, Kazan on April 17-19, 2015.
Athletes’ arrival and registration: April 16, 2015.
The mandate commission was held at the Aquatics Palace (Office 1024) on April 16, 2015 between 14.00 and 18.00.
Competition schedule
17.04.2015 – 14:00 (warm-up starts at 13:00).
A portback election conference took place on April 17, 2015 at 19:00. All representatives were required to have a power of attorney signed by a club director.
18.04.2015 – 10:00 (warm-up starts at 09:00).
19.04.2015 – 10:00 (warm-up starts at 09:00).
Competition rules and regulations
The championships are held in the form of an individual competition in accordance with the FINA Rules and Regulations for Masters Competitions. Swimmers must be at least 25 years old to compete.
All competitors are responsible for their own state of health during the championships and must prove that they are fit enough to compete at this type of event by filling a personal statement on a standard form and submitting it to the mandate commission.
In individual events, participants compete in the following age groups (age groups are determined by age as of December 31, 2015):
25-29 years old (born in 1990-1986)
30-34 years old (born in 1985-1981)
35-39 years old (born in 1980-1976)
40-44 years old (born in 1975-1971)
45-49 years old (born in 1970-1966)
50-54 years old (born in 1965-1961)
55-59 years old (born in 1960-1956)
60-64 years old (born in 1955-1951)
65-69 years old (born in 1950-1946)
70-74 years old (born in1945-1941)
75-79 years old (born in 1940-1936)
80-85 years old (born in 1935-1931)
85-89 years old (born in1930-1926)
90-94 years old (born in1925-1921)
95+ years old (born in 1920 and earlier)
In relays, teams compete in the following age groups (relay age groups are calculated from the total age of team members):
100-119 years old;
120-159 years old;
160-199 years old;
200-239 years old;
240-279 years old;
280-319 years old;
320-359 years old.
Each participant is allowed to take part in no more than 5 (five) individual events in total, with no more than 2 (two) events being competed per day (apart from medley relays).
ONE START rule applies during the championships.
Entries and eligibility requirements
Individual entries featuring a full name, date of birth, titles, city, club and distances with preliminary results should be submitted via a special form at swimmasters.ru no later than April 1, 2015.
Relay entries should be also submitted no later than April 1, 2015 via a special form at the website. At the mandate commission, at the given dates changes can be made only to the stages and participants (without alterations being made to age groups).
Teams intending to compete in relays for ER and WR can email their entries to registration+kazan-2015@swimmasters.ru.
Competitors not registered in the database of the Russian Masters Swimming Federation are required to undergo an obligatory registration via an online form at the website.
Fees for all distances should be paid only electronically (decision of the portback election conference of April 21, 2012, decision of the Presidium of September 24, 2012)
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Start lists will be made available at the website of the Russian Masters Swimming Federation on April 8, 2015. They are not subject to change. No new entries and re-entries will be accepted after April 2 and during the competitions.
Entry fees: 150 rubles per distance for members of the Russian Masters Swimming Federation and 300 rubles for individual competitors. Entry fee for club relay teams – 200 rubles.
At the mandate commission, each participant must undergo a registration:
1. produce a passport;
2. complete and submit a statement of personal responsibility for his/her state of health during the competitions (the sample is given below);
Аthletes of 70 years old and older, as well as relay teams of the age group 280+ do not pay entry fees.
When required, a team representative must make changes to the team lineup without altering age groups.
Accommodation and meals
Most of participants will be accommodated in the Universiade Village. Triple- and four-bed room options are available. Room rate for three or four people is 750 rubles per person per day. Room rate for two people is 975 rubles per person per day. Room rate for one person is 1,950 rubles per day.
Meal cost per person is 1,100 rubles per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
*Please be informed that the possession, storage, use and/or sale of alcohol, tobacco products, drugs, psychotropic and toxic substances are not permitted on the premises of the Universiade Village (including residential buildings).The use of poisonous substances, fire-hazardous agents, explosives, pyrotechnic products, fireworks, firearms and weapons, as well as being in a state of alcoholic, narcotic or other substance intoxication are also strictly prohibited.

The rest of participants will be accommodated in hotels.
Transportation services
Participants are to meet their own travel expenses (including transfer to/from a place of accommodation). The organisers provide competitors with local bus services, namely transportation between the Universiade Village and the venue, as per the following schedule: 2 (two) runs in the morning and 2 (two) runs in the evening. The bus timetable will be made available at a later date.
