Executive Directorate for Sports Projects

ANO Executive Directorate for Sports Projects is the official organiser of the 2015 FINA World Championships and FINA World Masters Championships. It is headed by Director General Azat R. Kadyrov.






The Executive Directorate was established on August 14, 2009 as the organising committee for the 2013 Summer Universiade and other international sporting events. In the long run, the list of the Directorate’s missions was expanded. Among the founders of the organisation are the Russian Federation, Republic of Tatarstan, municipal unit of the city of Kazan, and the Russian Student Sports Union.

The Executive Directorate works closely with the International Swimming Federation (FINA), International Sports Federations (IFs) and coordinates the preparation for the FINA World Championships in Kazan. To date, together with the Russian sports federations and FINA, the Executive Directorate prepared and staged an array of test events, among them:

  • Russian Swimming Championship
  • Four Nations Diving Meet
  • Russia vs Serbia match of the Men’s Water Polo World League
  • Russian Synchronised Swimming Championship
  • Russian Diving Championship
  • FINA High Diving World Cup
